Using polls
Create polls on X with lucette (Plus plan feature).
What are polls?
Polls let you ask questions with multiple choice answers. Your followers can vote, and you can see the results.
Plus plan only: Polls are available for Plus subscribers.
Creating a poll
Step 1: Start a poll
- In the composer, click "Add Poll"
- Type your poll question
- Add poll options (2-4 options)
Step 2: Add options
- Click "Add Option" for each choice
- You can have 2-4 options
- Each option can be up to 25 characters
Step 3: Set duration
Choose how long the poll runs:
- 5 minutes: Quick polls
- 1 hour: Short polls
- 1 day: Standard polls (default)
- 7 days: Extended polls
Step 4: Schedule or post
- Post Now: Publishes the poll immediately
- Schedule Post: Pick a date and time
- Let it Flow: Automatically schedules at optimal times
Poll options
Number of options:
- Minimum: 2 options
- Maximum: 4 options
Option length:
- Each option: Up to 25 characters
Duration options:
- 5 minutes
- 1 hour
- 1 day (default)
- 7 days
Viewing poll results
After your poll is published:
- Go to Queue → Published tab
- Find your poll post
- Click the link to view on X
- See results on X (votes and percentages)
Note: Poll results are only visible on X, not in lucette.
Editing polls
You can edit scheduled polls:
- Find the poll in your Queue
- Click the edit icon
- Change the question, options, duration, or schedule time
- Click "Save"
Note: Once a poll is published, you can't edit it on X.
Polls and threads
You can't add polls to threads. Polls are standalone posts only.
If you want to discuss poll results, create a follow-up post or thread after the poll ends.
